Musical Director

To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child.

I have worked in a variety of musical settings for 7 years and have worked closely with others as a production team where we planned and devised ways to provide great shows with a limited budget.

I have directed music for a variety of music events in over a hundred venues, large and small, which have enabled me to develop great team leading skills, a methodical, innovative mindset towards rehearsal and a constant positive approach towards work to create a productive environment.

I have worked in numerous bands as a session musician both large and small, allowing me to exercise my natural ability to work well in a team and to follow instructions from the artistic/music director.
I have privately tutored both young and old in the musical arts for 4 years and have also prepared and taught music workshops designed solely to develop youth in the art of live performance in theatre.

My entrepreneurial approach towards my career has pushed me to apply my trade all over the U.K for the past 5 years.  I began piano lessons, both practical and theory based, at the age of 10 and continued to grade 7.

At the beginning of my career I expressed a strong desire to be involved in different styles of live musical performance and through this I aimed to gain knowledge and understanding of the highest level of the music business and develop my musical talent to match such an environment.  This has come to fruition as I have learnt a range of musical styles and have written and directed music for a variety for festival, church and theatre.
I have tremendous interpersonal skills and am reliable which is essential for networking with other musicians and directors.

My experience working at the Miskin Theatre have given me a round understanding of the demands that come with such a setting.  Inspiring youth to perform under stressing tight scenarios and meeting deadlines have been a part of my work ethos.
