As an actor it is vital that you can communicate ( publicise yourself, be clear in audition and interview, impress casting directors; verbally and in writing ) It is important for an actor to be adaptable so they can help with production, back stage process and media research for both theatre and film

and
you can count and calculate ( work out tax, expenses, contracts, production budgets, touring costs, convert measurements to suite European directors and those using different systems)

These projects are designed to help you sharpen your skills and will build up into a portfolio of work which will serve to up your employability in a highly competitive industry

Actors Communication 1a

Take part in a group discussion as part of the evaluation process for “The Night Before Christmas”, your debrief. Then record your evidence by opening and using the document on the left.

 
Actors Communication 1b

Give a talk of at least four minutes on an aspect of musical theatre. You must include a picture, diagram or chart and your talk must be pre-prepared. Then record your evidence by opening and using the document on the left.  Include your presentation notes and all images with your evidence.

Read and summarise information from at least two documents on the same suject that you have used for research. These are chosen by you, but must be related to your work on “The Night Before Christmas”.  They may include reviews, research or historical background information that you have used. Each research document must be a minimum of 500 words long.  When you have done this, record your evidence by opening and using the document on the left. 


 
 Actors Communication 3

Write at least two different types of documents, each one giving different information.  One is to be your evaluation of “The Night Before Christmas” and must be in continuous prose and at least 500 words long, and must include at least one image. The other may include blogs you have written, recently completed application forms and CVs, but any electronic versions must be printed out and added to your portfolio.  Then record your evidence by opening and using the document on the left.
